Our Community
Dandaragan is a small, welcoming and active community with a farming and horticultural focus. The town is warm and friendly and has a Primary School with approximately 65 students, with bus services for outlying families. There are a number of businesses that support the town and the agricultural / horticultural sectors. The Post Office is also the General Store. A number of sports and recreational clubs operate in Dandaragan and there are two church services per month in the historical St Anne's Church.
The Dandaragan Community Recreation Club is the hub of most sporting bodies and groups within the community. The Dandaragan CRC has a nominal membership fee and the licensed bar is run on a voluntary roster basis. Open Sunday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, it has an ATM and supports local sporting bodies.
A group of dedicated volunteers produce a local paper called the 'Redgum Reports', on a fortnightly basis. The paper can be purchased at the General Store for $2 or you may wish to subscribe and have it delivered. The 'Redgum Reports', will inform you of different businesses in town, activities and rosters.
