What is a Community Resource Centre?
Community Resource Centres (CRC) are not-for-profit organisations that are independently owned and operated by their local community. Providing access to government and community-based services and information. CRC's are actively provide and undertake community, business and economic development activities supporting regional and local initiatives. The West Australian Community Resource Network The Western Australian Community Resource Network (WACRN) is comprised of over 100 rural, remote and regional Community Resource Centres (CRCs). The centres are not-for-profit organisations that are independently owned and operated by their local community. The WACRN is funded from the State government’s Royalties for Regions program. Linkwest is the Peak Body for Neighbourhood Centres in Western Australia. Established in 1982, we are a member based not-for-profit organisation, offering targeted and relevant training, resources and support to those working in small community managed not-for-profits.
