Our History
The Dandaragan Community Resource Centre (CRC) is a not for profit volunteer driven organisation. In operation since 2012 as the newest member welcomed to the CRC Network, providing basic services such as internet access, printing and various business and social activities for the Dandaragan community and surrounding region. The CRC Board have a strategic direction with a clear and defined focus over the next 5 year to meet the needs and gaps for the local communities. The Dandaragan CRC Board and Staff are focused on delivering a high level of business and economic opportunities for the development of employment, economic growth, social activities and training. This vision will stimulate and grow the Dandaragan community over the years to come.
Industry
There are a wide variety of industries operating in and around Dandaragan. Tronox mine for mineral sands, there are various agricultural and horticultural pursuits including; olives, citrus, stone fruit, prime lambs, organic beef, lifestyle farmers, broad-acre farmers, potatoes, sweet potatoes, wind farm, agroforestry, tourism, aquaculture, floriculture, support services for farming, retail and automobile repairs.

There are many community groups in Dandaragan as there are in most small towns, following is a list of some of the groups that are very active in our community: Advance Dandaragan, St John Ambulance, Repertory, P&C. Playgroup, cottage craft, Fundraisers Dandaragan, Dandaragan Community Centre, Redgum Reports, various book clubs and bridge groups. Dandaragan Community Recreation Club has a management committee and staff totally run by community volunteers.
Sporting Groups
Some of the sporting clubs that operate in Dandaragan are football, tennis, netball, golf, hockey, bowls, cricket, including skills development for young people with programs such as Aus-kick and Minkey-Hockey; further sporting skills developed by visiting sporting professionals. It is a very active sporting community for all age groups.

Billinue Aboriginal Corporation is our local Aboriginal community, operating at Cataby, the community runs a successful native seed collection business named “Cataby Seeds” and provide various seed to businesses for rehabilitation particularly at mine sites.
Facilities
Dandaragan has a Primary school with proximity to secondary school via school bus. There is a transit caravan park for short term accommodation and backpacker accommodation. The Dandaragan Community Recreation Club, and Community Centre have 2 associated sporting ovals; tennis courts, netball courts and synthetic bowling green, 18-hole golf course . Pioneer Park is the local meeting space for families and community events and has a playground, BBQ’s and community facilities, the centerpiece of the park is the historical rotunda. An Information Bay for tourists is located across the road from the park and there are various local businesses throughout the town. There are locally significant historical sites including St Anne's Church, two cemeteries and Aggie’s Cottage.
