ANZAC Driveway at Dawn
Showing your respect on Anzac Day will be a little different in 2020, with a ‘Driveway Tribute’ idea gaining popularity around Australia. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Anzac Day services across Australia will be closed to the public as the Government enforces limits on outdoor gatherings.
Because remembrance of service and sacrifice are important to our society, Australians are being called to honour ANZAC Day in their own way. The Dandaragan CRC stands with the nations RSL and would encourage us all to stand at your front gate, house gate, even outside your business and solute our brave ANZAC's. here are some suggestions of how you might commemorate:

- Remembering from within your home with Light Up the Dawn, media broadcasts and online coverage. ABC TV and Radio 531 will cover a dawn service from 5:55am.
- Visit Virtual War Memorial Australia. Register and contribute pictures and information on your relatives who served Australia on active service.
- An App will be available soon, for now we ask that you get the kids involved by creating decorations for your gate. We have provided kits at the from of the CRC and the links below to templates and site that have creative crafted poppies.

Guide for a Home Service
Here is a guide to conducting your personal remembrance service.
Introduction: Use your own words of reflection, name people you remember today, give gratitude for those who served and sacrificed, and to those still serving our nation.
Recite the Ode:
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Play The Last Post
Minute of Silence
Play Reveille/Rouse
Recite: Lest We Forget
Play New Zealand National Anthem
Play Australian National Anthem
Conclusion
You may add prayers, hymns, readings and personal content to reflect your beliefs. Consider reciting the ANZAC Requiem. Please use volume levels for your own use, that are respectful to neighbours.
